Principal Message Principal Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hopefully the nice weather of today is here to stay for a while.

With no school for family day on Monday and no buses on Tuesday most students had a short week.

As we have had a run on no buses, classes celebrate 100s day (the 100th day of school in the school year) on different days of the last few weeks.

Mr. Brophy our new 5/6 teacher started this week, please take a moment to welcome him to our school community when you see him. We are thrilled to have him joining the Wildwood team.

Wednesday, was a day of getting back into our routines.

On Thursday, our grade 4s helped with putting on the Fancy Tea at the seniors center. This is was part of their weekly grandparents program, and a long standing Wildwood tradition.

On Friday, Miss Weninger arranged a presentation on the History of the Northwest Mounted Police for her 3/4 class.

Next week we have all our regular activities running, such as chimes, choir, and archery clubs.

On Tuesday we have hot lunch provided by Poppy Grill and Deli in Evansburg and sponsored by Drax in Entwistle.. On Wednesday the 26th we have a special Pink Shirt Day, starting with a Pink Pancake Breakfast, and at lunch we have our monthly picnic lunch in the gym. Pink Shirt Day is a day in which students are encouraged to wear pink to take a stand against bullying.

Parents and Guardians please see below of an important update on our attendance reporting and call system.

If you have any questions or concerns you can always reach out to the school through the office or email me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.

Sincerely,

Alan Stoyles

Principal

Working Across Schools: A Message from Evansburg PAC. Working Across Schools: A Message from Evansburg PAC.

Parents and Guardians of Wildwood School, I am reaching out to see who might be interested in helping with our annual Grouch’s Ball. I am sure the news has spread that we will need to fundraise for a playground at the new school. Evansview PAC has decided that a portion of our profit we will be making a donation for the new playground. That being said, if you have free time April 25th to help assemble donated items and possibly help set up please reach out. Or possibly April 27th for take down. Please reach out by email! Also, please feel more than welcome to attend!! We would love to see more of the Wildwood community there to make it an ever bigger success! Thank you for your support!
