Mill Valley Weekly

Mill ValleyWeeklyMay 1st, 2025

Hello Mill Valley Families, Hello Mill Valley Families,

It is hard to believe we are now in the month of May! We are hopeful that tomorrow's weather will cooperate for our annual May Day Walk. Our Mill Valley neighbors look forward to this day every year. This act of kindness in our community demonstrates just one of our many values that is taught here at Mill Valley.

Next week, students will begin prepping our garden boxes so they will be ready for planting on Friday, May 30th, which is our combined Planting & Field Day! There are still a few volunteer spots available. If you would like to sign up, CLICK HERE!

Additionally, we take a moment to highlight that next week is Staff Appreciation Week! We encourage all families to join the PTO in recognizing the incredible staff members who have positively impacted you and your children throughout the year.

Sincerely,

Allyce & Julie

Mill Valley Student Council ~ Collecting for HAWS

Third grade student council is collecting items for HAWS, Humane Animal Welfare Society. We are trying to collect this stuff for animals that don’t have a permanent home. The collection is starting May 12 - May 16. Have your child bring soft dog treats, canned food for dogs and puppies, dry and canned food for cats, KMR kitten formula, cat litter and any sturdy small animal toys. HAWS can also use copy paper, Sharpie markers, liquid hand soap refills, laundry detergent, bleach, clorox wipes, kleenex, toilet paper and alcohol wipes. There will be grade level boxes by the gym and the office where the items can be placed. Every morning on the announcements student council members will announce the grade level in the lead for having the most items. By the end of the week, the grade level with the most items will earn an extra recess.

We are asking for donations for a school math project. We are asking for donations for a school math project.

If you have any items around your home on the list, please send them to school. If you have any items around your home on the list, please send them to school.
