Alumnae Visit Animal Science

On September 27, the OHM BOCES Career and Technical Education Center welcomed Bailey’s Daily Pet Care into the Animal Science classroom. Bailey Roberts and Alexa Jassak (Whitesboro CSD ’19) spoke with current students about their own journeys in animal care, from being students in the Animal Science program to working together today.

Roberts is the owner of Bailey's Daily Pet Care, which she runs with business partner and groomer Jassak. After both completed the Animal Science program earning mastery with distinction, Jassak went on to attend Golden Paws Pet Styling Academy and Roberts studied under master groomers, helping lead her to the competition for her groomer’s certificate.

Roberts and Jassak showed off their grooming skills with an “extreme grooming” presentation on Robbie the Poodle!

The Multi-Occupation students visited the Oneida County Solid Waste Authority on Oct. 3. They learned about the sorting process for recyclable materials and where the items go after they are sorted. They also learned about where the garbage goes once it leaves their home. It was loud and somewhat smelly, but they enjoyed it overall.
