Senior Speech Auditions Tuesday, March 30th 2:30PM
Thank you for auditioning to speak at your graduation. What an incredible memory for your classmates, parents, and yourself! Your speech should be typed and should be NO MORE than two minutes in length. Your speech should reflect a love of Parkview, the opportunities you’ve received here, the friends you’ve made, or a love of our great community and how all of this will affect the future of you and your classmates. You may give advice or share wisdom. Make sure you give credit to any sources you quote. Your speech should not be a personal story about just you as you are communicating with thousands of people and are speaking to your classmates. You need to relate to all the people listening.
Please complete this form and return it to Mrs. Reynolds (room G 1.222 or the front office) with a copy of your speech by Monday, 3/30/26. It is okay if you “tweak” your speech some after turning it in, but if you make any significant changes, please bring a copy with you to auditions. Please make sure your speech has a title. The titles are printed in the program that are handed out at graduation.
The audition will be Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. You will report to Mrs. Morrow’s Room (1.239A) by 2:30 to audition.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do I have to record my name?
A: Every student is not required to record their name but is highly encouraged to submit the recording to ensure the voice artist properly pronounces the graduate's name. If a student chooses not to record their name, the voice artist will pronounce the name as best as phonetically possible.
Q: I used the phone call feature to record my name but didn't see the recording, did it submit?
A: After students have recorded their name with the phone call, heard the recording, and accepted it, they MUST hit the submit button on the form after hanging up or it will show they have not completed the task.
Q: I have curly brackets in my name, what do I need to do?
A: If you have curly brackets around your name, Tassel is not sure how to properly pronounce your name. You need to remove the curly brackets and replace them with the phonetic spelling of your name, and you are REQUIRED to record your name.
Q: I already submitted my recording but want to make a change. What do I need to do?
A: You can log back into the Tassel system and re-record or make the changes and re-submit the form. We will use the most recent version of a submission to validate the graduate's name.

Senior Letters
We will receive letters between March 11 - May 1
After this date, please mail letters directly to the Senior or we will be accepting letters delivered to the Main Office until May 13th - NO EXCEPTIONS
What is a Senior Letter?
Senior letters are a huge tradition at Parkview! The letters are given to the seniors in a large envelope at the senior breakfast preceding rehearsal on May 20th. Please help make this a special event for our seniors by sending a letter to a friend, sibling, son/daughter, or student who is graduating.
Please use standard letter-size envelopes. Write the student’s full legal name on the outside of the envelope. Letters can be turned in at the Main Office or mailed to the school.
DUE DATE - Friday, 5/1/2026
Drop off letters at the school after this deadline until May 14th
NO PACKAGES, GIFTS, ETC.
Since the number of letters we receive makes this process very time consuming, we ask that your letters arrive no later than Friday, May 1, 2026. Due to volume and time constraints, we will be unable to print emailed messages. We will only file envelopes sent to PHS or dropped off at the school by the deadline.

Return of Materials
Materials (Chromebooks, chargers, calculators, textbooks, and library books) must be turned in by the day BEFORE graduation.
Textbooks should be returned to Ms. Farrow in F-15.215.
Library books, calculators, Chromebooks, and chargers should be returned to the Media Center.
Fines for missing items will be added at noon on the day before graduation, and students with fines will not receive their graduation tickets or diploma until the fines are paid in MyPaymentsPlus.
Saving Your Files
If you are NOT returning to a Gwinnett County Public School next year, then you will want to complete the following process to keep any important files/data that you have created in your GCPS Google Drive BEFORE the last day of school. The preferred method to save/download your files/data from your GCPS Google account is through Google Takeout.
Once you graduate you won't be able to download your files/data from your GCPS Google account, and they will be permanently deleted by the district.
Basic directions on how to use Google Takeout to download your Google files/data.
- Make sure that you are logged into your GCPS Google Workspace for Education account.
- Open a new browser, go to the Google Takeout, follow the prompts, and check all the services that you want to save data from. You won’t need to select every data option. Probably the most important one to select are the files stored in your GCPS Google Drive but be sure to select any other data option that you want to save.
There are many online tutorials and videos on how to use Google Takeout that can give you more detailed directions.
In the rare-case this applies to you, we also have Instructions to save Adobe or OneDrive/M365 files.
Graduation Rehearsal
Wednesday, May 20, 2025 8:30am-11am
At graduation rehearsal breakfast will be provided. The breakfast menu includes Chick-Fil-A biscuits, donuts, juice & water. Students will receive their senior letters and go into graduation rehearsal at 8:30 AM.
Seniors can park in the stadium parking lot upon arrival.
Because Parkview High School has such an outstanding group of seniors who are backed by a community of incredible supporters, we ask that students and parents read this information together, as we endeavor to plan for a memorable 50th graduation ceremony.
Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory. DO NOT BE LATE! You cannot participate in the ceremony if you are not at rehearsal.
To participate in graduation, you must clear all library fines, lost textbooks, and any other school-related fines by Friday, May 15th, 2026.
If you owe fines or fees, you will NOT receive tickets at rehearsal. We will hold your tickets until the fee/fine is paid. At that time, you will receive your tickets. See Adriana Martinez in H building if you are not able to pay via MyPayments Plus.
Wednesday, May 20th – 9:00AM – Panther Stadium (after the breakfast)
- Students, when you arrive, look up your room assignment and seat number according to your last name in alphabetical order. This information will be posted on the chairs and teachers will also be present to assist you.
- Once you locate your chair, sit down, and remain seated.
- DO NOT MOVE CHAIRS OR CHANGE SEAT ASSIGNMENTS. THESE ARE IN ORDER FOR CALLING YOUR NAME TO RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA. We will have announcements with important information about the ceremony, Mr. Smith will speak to you, and you will obtain your tickets for graduation night.
- The quicker you are organized, the quicker you will be dismissed for the day.
- At rehearsal, you will find out which side you enter the stadium. Please communicate this to your parents so they are sitting on the same side and can see you enter.
Please watch the video below before Graduation Rehearsal on Wednesday, May 20, so that you will know what to do at rehearsal and at graduation. You can also open the Graduation Processional video in a new window.
Graduation Processional Directions
Outstanding Fines and Fees
All students fines and fees must be settled before students can receive their graduation tickets (and diploma).
Students may have incurreds fines or fees for lost/damaged resources such as Chromebooks, technology accessories, library books, or textbooks. Unpaid event or assessment fees may also be included.
These fees need to be settled by the end of day on May 19, 2026, in order for students to receive graduation tickets.
Please check MyPaymentsPlus for detailed information on the fines and to make a payment. If you do not have an account on that site, please visit Online Payments / MyPaymentsPlus - Gwinnett County Public Schools to view directions on creating one. We are unable to accept payments outside of that application.
If lost materials are located, please return library books and technology items to the Media Center and textbooks to Ms. Farrow in room F-15.215.

Your shoes must be flat on the foot bed so that your weight is distributed evenly. There can NOT be a heel that allows more weight on one part of your foot. Graduates will be asked to call home for other shoes if shoes do not meet requirements.
Inclement Weather
It is our desire to complete graduation on May 20th. If the weather is a concern, our plans are as follows:
Option #1 - Graduation start time would be delayed the night of May 20th and then completed after
rain/storm passes.
Option #2 - If Graduation begins & then is interrupted by weather, students would be taken inside
and brought back out after weather passes the area. Buildings would be open for
parents, guests, and attendees as well.
Option # 3 - If weather completely prohibits graduation on May 20th, it will be held in the stadium at
12PM or 2PM or 4PM the next day (this depends on weather and will be
communicated).
Option #4 - If weather still does not permit outside graduation on May 21st or the morning of the
22nd, it will be held in the Main Gymnasium time TBA with each student receiving 2
tickets only (due to Fire Marshal regulations; we must abide by the limits of regulations
of the building's capacity).
Graduation Behavior
Please share the following information with any family members or friends that will be attending. These guidelines will ensure that graduation runs smoothly, and everyone can enjoy this special event.
Inappropriate behavior cannot be tolerated during graduation rehearsal, pre-ceremony lineup, or any senior activity. Such behavior will jeopardize your ability to participate in the ceremony and/or receive your diploma. Further, any senior who acts inappropriately at any senior activity or graduation event will risk being removed from the ceremony, and any senior who disrupts the actual ceremony will risk having his/her diploma withheld pending a conference with the student, parents, senior sponsor, and administrator. If an infraction does occur, and the graduate’s diploma is withheld, community service will be imposed. Seniors must adhere to ALL school rules as outlined in the discipline handbook.
These matters will be more specifically addressed by school administrators at rehearsal.
We are extremely excited about graduation, and many plans are underway to ensure that your graduation is memorable. Let us hope that the events of this evening will linger long and happily in the minds of all in attendance. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.
Congratulations to the 50th graduating class of Parkview High School!
Thank you,
Ann Marie Reynolds, Senior Class Sponsor Ann.marie.reynolds@gcpsk.12org
