Junior High Super Cedars of the Month
Each month in the Lebanon Junior High Tribune, students from each team are recognized as students of the month. Two students (one 7th grader and one 8th grader) who have shown Respect, Excellence, and Purpose and gone above and beyond will be recognized as Cedars of the Month. Their pictures and bios will be proudly posted for the following month in the display cases at school. We look forward to honoring our students and their excellence!
Congratulations to our Super Cedars for the month of January!!

Portrait of A Cedar
Over the course of the year, students have received lessons about traits that make up the "Portrait of a Cedar". Each month, students and staff are allowed to recognize other students who are demonstrating traits they have seen in action. This month, students will be learning about the next trait: "creative". Below are those we have learned so far and been filling up our Cedar tree with.
- Personally Responsible
- Empatheetic
- Adaptable
- Critical Thinker
- Communicator
Ramadan Meals
As Ramadan begins, we want families who celebrate to be aware of options we have for food that is available to students that are fasting. Below are links to additional information. If you are unsure and/or have other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us in the school office for additional assistance.
Green Zone Update
Each half of a marking period this school, students who are excelling academically and are achieving at least Honorable Mention status (As, Bs, and no more than one C) are receiving small rewards, as well as some big ones at school. A student recently was rewarded with tickets to HersheyPark this spring due to their strong academic effort. This marking period, in addition to grades, we will be adding in an attendance qualifier. Students may not have any unexcused absences to be made a member of Green Zone. Attendance and academics are directly linked and we want to see your students here!
PBIS Update - MP2
Each marking period, students earn a large reward for being respectful, responsible, and safe in school using our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) system. Students earn points each day for their positive behavior. At the end of Marking Period 2, selected students went to battle versus staff in our Staff vs. Student basketball game as their classmates cheered them on. While the teachers prevailed this time, it was a great time and it was fantastic celebrating our students' success!
King & Queen of LJH Dance
Please see the flyer below for information regarding the LJH Valentine's Day Dance that will happen THURSDAY, February 12th. Please note this event is for LJH students only. Students from other schools are not allowed to attend the dance. Thank you for your understanding!
Safe2Say Reminder
Reminder that we use the Safe2Say program in our school district. It is an anonymous reporting program that helps keep our schools and communities safe. Anonymous tips about concerning behavior, threats, bullying, or individuals who may be at risk at any time. Tips can be made 24/7 through the Safe2Say website, mobile app, or by calling 1-844-SAFE2SAY. School staff receives those reports and immediately follows up to ensure safety and support for students.
