NCSPRA Highlights & Membership Updates
FREE PD!
Promoting your schools as the best choice for families!
Our partners at the North Carolina Association of School Administrators are hosting a free half-day workshop on August 6th. The workshop will focus on utilizing NCASA’s “Champion Our Local Public Schools” toolkit to effectively promote your school or district as a great choice for families. It also will include guidance on effectively engaging with lawmakers on K-12 legislation and provide updates on the latest state budget proposals and K-12 policy bills. If you are interested in attending, please use this link to REGISTER or get more information.
Opportunity to Admire & Acquire!
We are giving our members the chance to judge the Georgia School Public Relations Association's awards. Judging is a fabulous way to see exemplary work and get great ideas for your own school or district.
GSPRA has more than a dozen awards categories, so it is easy to find a category that matches your interests and expertise. It also means we can use plenty of judges. GSPRA uses the Open Water judging platform, which is easy-to-use and specifically designed for awards judging.
The judging window is from September 8 - 22.
Free NSPRA memberships available
The scholarship is available to current NCSPRA members who are not members of NSPRA and who have not held an NSPRA membership for the past three or more years. NCSPRA will award up to two Nora Carr Memorial Scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at $295.
If you are interested in applying for a Nora Carr Memorial Presidential Scholarship, please click below or visit the NCSPRA website. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025.
NCSPRA earns Mark of Distinction Award
The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) has again designated NCSPRA as an Exemplary Chapter and honored us with its prestigious Mark of Distinction Award. This is the fifth consecutive year that NSPRA has recognized our chapter for delivering the highest quality professional development to members. This year, we were specifically honored for helping our members during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and for successfully rescheduling our fall conference and other PD events to ensure that our members were served effectively.
NCSPRA will officially receive the Mark of Distinction Award on July 20th during the 2025 NSPRA Seminar in Washington, D.C.
NCSPRA PD SURVEY
We have extended the deadline for our NCSPRA Professional Development Survey until Friday, August 8th. Please take two minutes to let us know what PD offerings would be most valuable to you and whether you expect any travel restrictions for the coming year.
