HISD In Review

I hope you all had a wonderful Fall Break and were able to spend time with family and friends. I am grateful to our sponsors, students, and administrators who participated in activities during their break including Band, Sports, Fishing, Safety Training, etc. Thank you to those who always put our Red Devils and Devilettes first!

Unfortunately there was an accident in front of the McMullen Library on Main Street and the sign took a hit. We are working with multiple entities to get that taken care of. What a blessing that no one was in the area and no one was hurt!

I wanted to share with the community that UBank is collecting donations for the United Way which supports many activities in Angelina County, including the McMullen Memorial Library. Thanks to United Way, the library is able to have extended hours! If you are able to give, see Leah Riley at UBank.

Looking forward to a sea of orange to show our UNITY on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Standing together, accepting others, and treating others with kindness is our focus in HISD!

Thank you for your support of HISD and our school community!

Warmest regards,

Dr. Carolyn Fiaschetti
