As we kick off the new academic year, we extend a warm welcome to our dedicated West Bloomfield High School DECA Board! Your leadership is the driving force behind our chapter's success, guiding over 250 members in their journey to become future business leaders.
This year promises exciting opportunities for growth, competition, and community impact. Your commitment to fostering excellence, organizing events, and inspiring your peers is invaluable. We look forward to a productive and rewarding year as we work together to uphold DECA's legacy and achieve new heights. Let's make this year our best yet!
End of the year WB DECA Board Meeting 5/28
Thursday, May 28th go to Zalla's room right at the beginning of advisory. Wear your GREEN WBHS DECA t-shirt. We will be taking promotional photos. We recognize a few won't be able to make it. :(

Fall Class Essentials
Get a jump on the new school year with these tips:
- Business Class: Make sure you're signed up for a FULL year of a business class for 2025-2026.
- Social Media & LinkedIn: Polish your online presence! Update your social media bios with your board position and a professional image. Connect with past and current WB DECA members and advisors, plus other DECA chapters. Also, create a professional LinkedIn account if you haven't already. This is great for networking, job opportunities, and college connections.
- Resume & Common App: Start building your resume, highlighting your DECA experiences (use correct award and conference names!). Don't forget to add your DECA accomplishments to your Common App.
- Show Your Spirit: Design a board t-shirt or sweatshirt and share it with the board! Check out Brody's or Perfect Trading Company. These are organized and paid for by the board itself.
- Lead the Way: Organize a summer get-together for the board and share your fun with advisors!
- Prep for Competition: As you visit local businesses, think about written projects. See this year's topics and practice Virtual Business – Round 1 is the easiest way to qualify!
- Scholarships: Start exploring DECA Inc. scholarships.
