W.E.stchester Weekly
News from the Principal
Greetings WE Families,
It has been another terrific week at Westchester! We adjusted fairly well to the time change. “Spring Forward” is always a challenge. We are heading into our busy time of year.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at Pizza Bingo and the other Family Engagement activities this month. Thank you to our PTA and parents who are organizing and supporting these events. Many hands make light work.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for these upcoming Westchester events:
March 14th: Holi Festival
March 18-24th: Book Fair (Open Saturday)
March 19th: Class Picture Day
March 21st: Family Picnic
March 25th: Early Release
March 27th: Community Circle
From your very grateful principal,
Christine Knox

Dear Families,
I am currently completing my graduate thesis, which focuses on how students learn a second language in the classroom. As part of my research, I would like to use short video recordings taken during regular class activities to help me better understand and reflect on students’ language learning processes.
The videos will be:
Used only for my thesis
Seen only by my professors and me
Not shared online or publicly
Your child’s privacy will always be protected.
Please read below and let me know if you permit your child to be included in these videos.
School Lunch Policy: Please be sure to maintain a positive lunch balance for your child. This will help us avoid any unexpected lunch changes for students. Check your Parent Portal frequently to make sure your child has adequate funds for the cafeteria. You may also find the Parent Portal app (for Apple or Android) to be more convenient.
