Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men." When they brought their boats to the shore, they left everything and followed him.

In the scripture above from Luke 5:10-11, we witness a powerful moment when Jesus calls Simon Peter to leave his nets behind and follow Him. This passage reminds us that, like Peter, we are invited to trust in God's plan, even when it leads us into unfamiliar territory. It encourages us to pray through our fears and focus on the greater purpose or will God has for each of us. As a school community, we are called to support one another in taking steps of faith and responding to God's call with prayer, thanks, and joy. Today Father George encouraged us all at Mass to ask Jesus how we can follow Him. It may be returning to a task we've already work tirelessly on (Luke 5:4-5). Or when we are reminded of the humility and awe we should feel in the presence of God's greatness and grace (Luke 5:8).

May we all find the strength to follow where He leads, knowing that He is always with us!
