Mr. Palmer, Mr. Cochran and our custodians have been hard at work marking floors, measuring and arranging desks to allow for 6 ft. between all students to ensure safety of all students and staff.

Prepping for the 1st day of School
Our teachers have been busy preparing for school to begin next week! They have been attending training sessions, collaborating and preparing online lessons and their classrooms for when students return to in-person learning. They are working hard to create a balance of safety and a welcoming learning environment.
For those families interested in touring the building prior to the opening of school to view the spacing and other social distancing measures we have put in place at Tawanka, you must sign up in advance. The time slots in the sign ups are limited to allow for social distancing. This is simply a self-guided walk-through. There will not be any presentation, orientation or question/answer sessions at these times. It is just an opportunity to walk the school and see the changes made. Teachers will not be available at these times.
Please note the district has changed the dates and times from September 3rd and 4th and they are now the week of September 8th during after school hours and Saturday morning September 12th.

Neshaminy School District offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast cost is $1.35 and lunch is $2.60 for elementary schools. Your children may qualify for free or reduced price meals based on your family income. Please check the eligibility chart below to see if your family qualifies. The PTO plans and organizes fundraisers and activities for the school which help to foster a bond between home and school. The PTO requires no membership fees. As a Tawanka parent, you are already part of the PTO. This year, they have the added challenge of making all activities and fundraisers safe in accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines. They welcome your ideas and involvement to help make a successful year for all! You can contact the PTO at tawankapto@gmail.com.
