-Matthew 28:5–6

Dear Students, Staff, and Families,

"He is Risen!" Three words to celebrate indeed. As we celebrate the joy of Easter, we extend to each of you our heartfelt blessings and warmest wishes.

This past Saturday evening’s Easter Vigil at St. Martin's Parish was truly beautiful; a powerful and moving celebration filled with the light of candles, the richness of Scripture readings, the joy of baptisms, and the profound celebration of Christ’s Resurrection. It was a wonderful reminder of the hope and new life that Easter brings to all of us. Father reminded us of the importance of being present and truly enjoying each moment, something that can be easy to overlook in our busy lives, especially when we are stressed or worried beforehand. His words invite us to pause, reflect, and recognize the many blessings we experience each day.

As a Catholic school community, Easter calls us to live with renewed faith, hope, and love. May we carry the light of Christ into our classrooms, our homes, and our relationships with one another. Wishing you and your families a joyful and blessed Easter season.

This last week, we were honoured to welcome Dallas Arcand to our school for an engaging and inspiring Indigenous dance performance. His talent, storytelling, and passion brought the richness of Indigenous culture to life for our students in a truly memorable way. Performances like this provide meaningful opportunities for learning, reflection, and appreciation, helping our students deepen their understanding of Indigenous traditions and perspectives. We are grateful for the chance to experience such a powerful and educational presentation. Thank you to the Vegreville Cultural Association for supporting this opportunity.

This week look forward to taking in some badminton action and welcoming all of you to our Parent/Teacher Conferences. See ya there!!

With gratitude,
The STMY Administration Team
