Locker Decorating April 24-26
Things to know:
1. Dates: Friday, 3-7pm / Saturday 10am-12pm / Sunday 1-3pm
2. Enter through atrium doors
3. Must have a COMPLETED locker strip to get assigned a locker
4. Seniors and/or family members can come to hang up locker strips
5. Make sure to bring something to hang up locker strip (tape/magnet strips/magnet hooks)! Look at the doc for links
Locker strips are still available in C211 or the Senior Office in the Commons.
Parents/friends/ guardians/seniors themselves can come to the school and hang up their locker strip. Lockers will be assigned upon arrival on the decorating days with a COMPLETED locker strip.
If your child did not get a locker strip because they did not think they had a locker, it is OK. New this year, you do not have to pay for a locker to get a locker strip. Every senior can decorate a strip and put it on an assigned locker.
Decorating Tips:
Think about weight (heavy strips will need extra tape to secure them)
Ideas include - through the years and future, friends, family, or just your child
EACH ONE IS UNIQUE! Make it however you want!
Pinterest can be your friend
Lamination helps preserve it
Hanging/Decorating Days:
Friday, April 24th from 3-7pm
Saturday, April 25th from 10am-12pm
Sunday, April 6th from 1pm-3pm
Enter through Atrium doors
What to bring:
3M hanging tabs or magnet strips, magnetic hooks to hang locker strip on locker (please no double sided foam tape or Duct tape as this ruins the lockers)
Candies/treats (optional) - the combination to the locker will also be given, so you are able to leave items inside if you would like (just tell your senior!)
Be sure your strip has already been created before you come to the school
Locker Strips are optional!
Itβs a fun way to decorate for senior week and the students get excited to see their pictures, messages for them! Many parents do this as a surprise, others create one with their student and some students even make their own! It is totally optional but can be fun.

Career Day!
Internship Program
Jackson EMC is excited to announce our Summer Line Worker Intern Program applications will be opening at the end of March. This is our fourth year having this program, and we are excited to have all of our district offices participate this year.
Program requirements:
Must be a December 2025/May 2026 graduate
Must be 18 as of June 1, 2026 (OSHA Guidelines)
Clean Driving Record/Background check
Must have recommendation from WBL teacher or guidance counselor
What is the program?
This is an 8-week paid internship working with our line crews. This opportunity is a true summer internship and will not convert into a full-time position, but it is a great way to find out if you have interest in a line worker career prior to going to lineman school or contracting work. Participants will learn about what our crews do to maintain our lines and keep the lights on as well as what is needed to stay safe in the field.
How do students apply?
The job will be posted on our careers site in mid-April. Applicants will need to apply on our careers site at https://www.jacksonemc.com/my-cooperative/careers and have a current resume prepared. We will conduct formal interviews for these positions.
Ridge Recovery - Summer School
Register on MPP for Summer School for Credit Recovery or School Plus. Peachtree Ridge High School (PRHS) has implemented multiple options for students to recover lost credit:
- Credit Recovery via GA Virtual is ONLY available to SENIORS who have failed the course previously.
- School Plus is available for All grade levels as well as summer school & other innovative intervention programs. School Plus is a good option for Seniors who need to add an extra class in addition to their regular schedule to stay on track to graduate.
