Principal Message

Explorer Families,

As we wrap up another fantastic school year at Donald Eismann Elementary, I want to take a moment to share my gratitude and reflect on the joy, growth, and accomplishments we’ve experienced together. What an incredible year it has been!

This week, we had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing 5th grade students as they prepare for their next adventure in middle school. We are so proud of our Explorers and all they’ve achieved! Today, we capped off the year with our annual Field Day a school-wide celebration filled with fun and laughter. A huge thank you to Mr. Hurt, Ms. Lange, and the many volunteers who helped make it the best Field Day yet!

The end of the year is always a mix of emotions, but this one is especially bittersweet for me. After six wonderful years as your principal, I’ll be stepping into a new role as the Building Principal at Daffodil Valley Elementary. It has truly been one of the greatest honors of my career to partner with such a caring, committed community. I’ve cherished every moment of working alongside our amazing staff, students, and families to make DEE a place where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired. I leave knowing our school is in the best hands with Sarah Thompson stepping into the principal role, and I’m confident DEE will continue to thrive under her leadership. This really is a remarkable place to be.

As we say goodbye to the school year, we’re also sending off several beloved staff members who are heading into exciting new chapters whether retiring, staying home with new babies, pursuing new teaching opportunities, or beginning administrative internships. Each one has left a lasting mark on our DEE family, and we are so grateful for their time, care, and dedication:

  • Hayley Hoskins (Interventionist)

  • Erin Rumpza (2nd Grade)

  • Taylor Wakefield (2nd Grade)

  • Kali Zahnow (3rd Grade)

  • Anna Wood (3rd Grade)

  • Megan Jones (5th Grade)

  • Tami Haglund (Learning Specialist)

  • Heather Goldthorpe (Learning Specialist)

  • Sam Orta (Paraeducator)

  • Jodie Davis (Paraeducator)

  • Jessica Dykman (Paraeducator)

  • Niz Hadid (Paraeducator)

We are grateful for their many contributions to DEE and wish them all the very best on their next chapters.

Thank you for an incredible year. It has been a privilege to serve this community. I leave with a full heart and tremendous pride in all we’ve accomplished together.

Go Explorers!
