FF WEEK 11: January 12, 2025

Weekly Message From the Faith Formation Team
Hi Families,
Faith Formation classes are scheduled for this Sunday, January 12. We are watching the weather and do not anticipate canceling classes, you will be updated via a Realm email should we need to cancel classes. If there is any inclement weather, we will post it on social media as well as our website - please check there.
This Sunday is the end of the liturgical Christmas season. You will hear readings about the baptism of Jesus. "After all the people had been baptized and Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove." This would be a great time to talk with your children about their baptism, maybe show pictures for them to see and talk about their Godparents and how they are part of their faith journey.
We are always looking for parents and/or grandparents to help with our Challenge and Conquest program. If you can help please visit our SIGNUP to let us know.
As the winter weather approaches, we pray you will be safe and warm.
Many blessings,
The Faith Formation Team

OCIA-Youth Class - Sacramental Year 2025
Our programs rely on your support! We continue to need volunteers to be extra hands. If groups would like to participate in an outside activity, move to the gym, or play on the fields, we need a second adult present. Some groups have two adults volunteering consistently, but some do not. By volunteering with a group, you give them the ability to fully participate in activities. The button below takes you to our Volunteer Sign-Up. We encourage you to join us for at least one Sunday this year.
Our next Confirmation meeting will be in the PARISH CENTER on Sunday, January 12th, 2025.
On Sunday, January 12th, Confirmation candidates will continue our conversation about the relationship between faith and science by chatting about how science plays a role in the process of Canonization of Saints. We will spend our time talking about various saints, the miracles attributed to their intercession and how the Church investigates and declares miracles.

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
