End of Year Events
The end of the 2026-2027 school year is quickly approaching. While not every event is listed, below are some important happenings that you can pencil in on your calendar.
CSO Spring Cabinet at Last Chance Ranch
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Centennial Chief Science Officers (CSOs) attended the CSO Spring Cabinet Meeting at Last Chance Ranch, joining fellow CSOs from across various Bucks County school districts for a day of collaboration and hands-on learning. Throughout the event, students worked together to develop and refine their action plans, participated in engaging STEM-based activities, and explored the ranch’s facilities.
During their visit, CSOs toured the ranch, learning about the various animals cared for on-site as well as the daily responsibilities of employees and volunteers. They also had the unique opportunity to interact with the animals and gain insight into the rehabilitation processes that help prepare animals for adoption and improved quality of life.
The Centennial CSOs made meaningful progress on their action plan, which focuses on fostering a love of STEM among younger students. They are currently working to organize a district-wide initiative in May, where they hope to visit elementary schools within Centennial School District to lead hands-on investigations with first-grade students and inspire early interest in science.
Spring Dance
April 10 from 7:00-8:45 at LCMS ($10)
Log College's annual Spring Dance will be on April 10. All grades are welcome to attend. Students don't need to dress up fancy (some will), but we would like them to dress school appropriate. This is an indoor dance in the gym with a DJ. We will send home permission slips on April 7. Permission slips will be collected on April 9 and 10 during lunches. This is also when students will receive wristbands. In the meantime, I've attached the letter we will be sharing.
Climate and Culture Survey
Dear Log School Families,
We are currently surveying Centennial School District families to gain insight into your perception of school and district climate and safety. We need your feedback to build and maintain awareness of school and district strengths and growth opportunities and to plan for improvement.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to complete and will be a valuable part of our continuous improvement process.
You may complete the survey online using any computer, tablet, or smartphone by using the link below. The survey window opens March 30 and closes on April 10:

Math With Mr. Sinkler
In 7th grade math, students are continuing to work through Chapter 4 of our CPM curriculum, focusing on the Distributive Property and simplifying algebraic expressions. To help make these abstract concepts more "concrete," we have been using algebra tiles. These physical and virtual manipulatives allow students to visualize how an expression like 3(7 - X) translates into three distinct groups, each containing seven unit-tiles and one negative x-tile. By counting the total tiles in these three groups, students can visually "see" that the simplified version of the expression is 21 - 3x.
By physically arranging these tiles into area models, students are discovering the visual connection between geometry and algebra. It has been exciting to see the "lightbulb moments" as they move from manipulating tiles by hand to confidently writing out simplified expressions on paper. This foundational work is preparing them for more complex equation-solving later this year!
