A Note from Mrs. Mathe
Congratulations to all of our Western Art Show artists! Their artwork was on display last weekend, and we couldn’t be more proud of the beautiful and creative pieces they created. Thank you to our students, families and amazing art teachers, Mrs. Couch and Mrs. Rodriguez, for supporting the arts at our school.

Student Spotlight
We are excited to introduce a new section in The Hines Herald called Student Spotlight! This feature will celebrate the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school. In this section, we will highlight students who have gone above and beyond—whether it’s reaching a personal goal, helping others, or making a difference in the community. We can’t wait to share these inspiring stories and honor the incredible ways our students shine!

Transportation Change Reminders
As we move into the middle of the school year, here are a few reminders regarding transportation changes:
If you need to change your child’s transportation from their typical way home for one day only, please notify the school before 2:00 p.m. by submitting a transportation change through the Transportation Change App in your Parent Portal (how to instructions below).
For permanent changes or changes lasting multiple days, please continue to email contacthines@conroeisd.net. You may copy your child’s teacher; however, teachers are not always able to check email prior to dismissal, so be sure to include contacthines@conroeisd.net to ensure the change is received.
Transportation change emails should include the following:
-
Child’s first and last name
-
Teacher and grade
-
How your child will go home (including specific biker/walker location, if applicable)
-
Duration of the change (one day, multiple days, or permanent)
-
The email must be sent from the guardian email address on file, or a photo of your ID must be included
The front office will email you to confirm once the transportation change has been received, either through the app or by email. Thank you for your help in keeping dismissal safe and organized.
