Holiday Shop Recap Holiday Shop Recap

The CAS PTO was happy to host another fun and festive Holiday Shop earlier this month! Students had the chance to walk through the shop, browse through lots of beautiful items, and pick out the perfect holiday gifts for their families, friends, and teachers. Parent volunteers helped students shop and wrap their gifts so that each child has the chance to surprise their loved ones with meaningful gifts this holiday season!

We want to say a very special Thank You! to the many volunteers who helped make this event such a success! Preparation for the Holiday Shop begins months in advance and the event would not take place without the help of the CAS community!

Lunch Volunteers Needed this Winter!

Winter sign-ups are now open! Volunteering during lunch is a great way to see your children in their school day habitat. You will assist in opening up lunch items, keeping the lunch lines moving, and ensuring the students clean up after themselves. REMINDERS: Volunteers should oversee ALL children in the lunchroom when volunteering. Please only limit your sign ups to 2 dates only as we have a lot of volunteers hoping to come in during this time. Lunch begins at 11:00am and ends at 12:30pm. Please contact Danielle Carreon (Danielle.asuncion@gmail.com) or Rachel Cushing (CushingFamily37@outlook.com) with any questions.

A Message from Mr. Perrone (Principal of MJS) A Message from Mr. Perrone (Principal of MJS)

Hello Elementary Families!

As we look ahead to your child’s transition to middle school, we want to ensure you feel informed and supported regarding our mathematics program. Our goal is to place every student in a course that provides the right balance of challenge and support.

To help you understand this process, we are sharing the following key resources which are linked here and also linked to our MJS website under parent resources:

Math Rubric Video Presentation: This video shares everything about our Math Program and the recommendation process
Math Rubric Presentation: This is the presentation used for the video
Math Pathways and Rubrics: Direct links to each grade level rubric
6-12 Math Progression
We believe that transparency in our math placement helps students feel more confident as they step into their new classrooms.
Sincerely,
Frank Perrone
Principal, Madison Junior School
