MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Brilliance Families,
Our Fathers Walk was amazing! Thank you to every father, grandfather, uncle, mentor, and community member who joined us. A special shout-out to Dean Darby for his leadership in making this event a tremendous success!
This week is NWEA Testing Week. Please help your scholar do their best by ensuring they:
Get a good night’s sleep.
Eat a healthy breakfast.
Arrive at school on time every day.
Come prepared, confident, and ready to do their personal best.
Attendance also matters now more than ever. Our goal is to raise our school grade, and we need your partnership. Attendance is directly connected to academic achievement and the Gap Closing component of our state report card. Last year, more than 60% of our scholars were identified as chronically absent. That is not good enough for Brilliance, and together, we can change it.
Every absence and late arrival affects your scholar’s learning, academic scores, and our school’s overall performance. The state report card is not only the school’s report card—it also reflects our families, our scholars, and our entire community.
We need every family to commit to having scholars attend school every day and arrive on time. Let’s work together and operate in excellence—no excuses and no exceptions.
Built on PRIDE. Driven by Excellence.
One School. One Family. One Brilliance!
