Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
March 28, 2025
We had another full week at the Lab!
Students enjoyed some nicer weather and the chance to get outside; they did great with a couple of safety drills this week, and did a good job focusing on their learning. Congratulations to the intermediate Dance Club, who put on their after school performance for families this week.
Last week I forgot to share the recipe for cinnamon chip cookies, which some folks enjoyed at Spring Family night and requested (they are a staff favorite). If you are interested in adding them to your family's cookie rotation, you can find the recipe here.
Next Week:
- Monday schools are closed; Kindergarten Round-Up in the AM
- Wednesday is Spring Pictures during the day and the Art Show in the evening
- Friday is Career Day in the AM and end of MP3 early release at 1:05pm
Looking Ahead: Our ROARIN RUN is Friday April 11th! We are sooo excited for this schoolwide fun event to fundraise and benefit the whole school! More information in the PTA section below.
Have a great weekend, and one more reminder - No school on Monday!
In Partnership,
Mr. McComb

GIVING THANKS
Our first Lutherville Community Entrepreneur Fair was a huge success with 40 tables and over 200 attendees! Thank you to all who came and supported our students and the local businesses. We look forward to making this an annual event and program and will be celebrating our student young entrepreneurs officially very soon.
ACTION ITEMS & UPCOMING EVENTS
Supporting Teachers & Staff Before Spring Break
We'd love your help making sure our teachers and staff have a fully stocked lounge space! Please sign up for opportunities to donate supplies and funding here.
Fri April 4th: Roarin' Run Lead Up in the Sun (hopefully!) from 4-6 pm at Riderwood Park (Kenilworth Drive)
As our next "Playground Pop-in" we are thrilled to invite you to join us at Riderwood Park for a fun afternoon of coordinated stretches, exercises and some free time. Special guests will include our very own Mrs. Denise Gillispie and Mrs. Amy Feltman as well as several Towson University football players, all prepared to help the kids be ready for the Roarin' Run. A treat will be included. Come any time!
Fundraising for the Roarin' Run
At the time of this report, we are at $2,035 which is 34% of our goal. We congratulate Andrew N. for being our second raffle winner - a gift card to SweetFrog, donated by the McKinnon family.
Some amazing prizes await the winners in the next two weeks including:
- Three month family membership at Coppermine Timonium (valued at $597)
- One week of Keith Van Eron's full day soccer camp (valued at $425)
- One week of Keith Van Eron's half day camp (valued at $225)
- Family Fun Pack for Sky Zone (four 90 min jump sessions, 1 large pizza & 4 fountain drinks) (valued at $139)
How does this all work again?
Step 1: A student's friends, family or they themselves makes an online donation or writes a check to Lutherville Lab PTA. Any amount that works for you works for us!
Step 2: On their pledge sheets (see colors below, should be in student's green folder, more coming home next week), the student's parents/guardians sign to confirm each donation/pledge has been received.
Step 3: The students return their sponsor pages, either one slip at a time or all at once, to the front office. On Kelly McDevitt's desk is a clear box where each slip is entered for a raffle prize.
Step 4: Each Fri on the morning announcements Mr. McComb will announce one winner (or more, if we can!) for the raffle prize(s).
Pledge forms (extra at Mrs. McDevitt's desk):
K - light green, 1st - yellow, 2nd - dark green, 3rd - red, 4th - orange, 5th - blue
FAQs
Will all children participate?
Yes, during their specials/related arts time on Fri April 11th.
Do they have to run?
No, walking is also great. Whatever feels best for their bodies.
Did I hear that all students will receive a prize on the day of the event?
Yes, every student will be provided with a LL water bottle sticker featuring our new leopard logo! Thank you to ANNAARSH DESIGNS owned by Anahitta Mian, one of our Kindergarten moms, for donating these awesome prizes.
How do I sign up to volunteer on the day of the Run (Fri April 11th)? Can I come just during my child's time? What will I do?
Head to this SignUp Genius and pick your time and yes, you may come at whatever times suit your schedule! Having volunteers helps us allow the day to go smoothly. You will cheer the students on, help them track their laps and provide any other assistance that is needed.
