PTA Weekly Update

Good morning Huskie Families,

Stop by DQ this Wednesday for a sweet treat! It's our last Dough Raising fundraiser for the school year - mention Spring Brook when you check out, proceeds from sales will go back to the PTA.

Please note that Mr. Mills needs some help on Friday and Saturday to bring our Huskie artwork to and from the Fine Arts Festival at NVHS. More info is below.

Field Day is also just around the corner! Be on the lookout on Tuesday for an email and post about signing up to help out!

Dough Raising events are an opportunity to join with others in our Spring Brook community for fun, food and a little fundraising. A portion of sales during these events are donated by our community partners to support the efforts of the Spring Brook Elementary PTA. Join us for the final Dough Raising event of this school year at Dairy Queen!

When: Wednesday, May 13, 12 - 10 p.m.

Where: Dairy Queen, 2547 Plainfield-Naperville Rd Suite 132, Naperville, IL 60564

The IPSD204 Fine Arts Festival is this weekend and many of our talented Huskies will be featured! Mr. Mills needs help transporting art projects to and from the event at Neuqua Valley High School. If you can help, please contact springbrookpresidentpta@gmail.com to volunteer.

When:

Friday, May 15 from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. - 1 volunteer needed

Saturday, May 16 from 3:45 - 6:30 p.m. - 2 volunteers needed

As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.

If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.

Please join us in the Multipurpose Room for our final all-member PTA meeting of the 2025-2026 school year. It will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

The board will meet to discuss upcoming plans, events, and more. You can ask questions, and hear from a guest Spring Brook staff member. Can't attend in person? Join via Google Meet.

Spring Brook's annual Field Day is around the corner, on May 27! We're planning fun-filled day to wrap up a great school year! K-2 and 3-5 grade students will each participate in a half-day filled with activities. Volunteer registration forms will go live on Tuesday.

Even though we're headed into summer break mode, the PTA executive committee is already thinking ahead to the 2026-2027 academic year. We will have a number of openings on our event and program committees. More info will be shared next week. Meantime, if you're interested in becoming a committee chairperson, contact Marissa Kopp at springbrookpresidentpta@gmail.com.
