Principal's Message
Hello Maple Glen Families -
We are so excited to kick off the new school year This newsletter is full of reminders and helpful information to help you and your child feel prepared. We can't wait to see our students' smiling faces walking through the doors—it's going to be a fantastic year!
Exciting news to share! This year we have three new teachers joining us at Maple Glen.
Brittany Gray - Resource teacher. Mrs. Gray comes to us from Washington Woods Elementary in Westfield, and we are thrilled to have her join our staff.
Jessica Russ - 3rd Grade Teacher. Mrs. Russ may be a familiar face to our Maple Glen families as she completed a maternity leave for us at the end of the school year. Mrs. Russ was a teacher in Carmel prior to joining us in Westfield.
Katie Demo - 1st Grade Teacher. Ms. Demo has been a kindergarten teacher prior and has a love for teaching our littles. She has been teaching in Indianapolis prior to coming to Maple Glen.
PowerSchool Access: Everyone should have access to your student's PowerSchool account by 4 p.m. Please give us a call in the office if you are having difficulty accessing.
We would love to see everyone on August 4th for our Back to School Social. Kindergarten families will meet from 5:30-6:00p.m. in your child's classroom.
Grades 1-4: Please stop by any time between 6-7 pm to drop off school supplies and say hello to your child's new teacher.
Looking forward to a great year,
Tiffany Buzan

Talking Points
Westfield Washington Schools usesTalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.
