We had a great start to our year!! Thanks for sending your kids back to school. They were all so happy to be back and ready to learn. 😜

Our Domino's pizza option for lunch was quite the buzz this week. We are hoping this will encourage more kids to eat lunch every day. Food is fuel for the brain and at the end of the day we need all the fuel we can get!

Just a reminder to parents about our cell phone policy. If you are trying to reach your child on their cell phone during the day, they will only be able to answer during their lunch time. We still have students who are blaming their parents for texting them....and that is why they had their cell phone out. We know, we know, they may just be throwing you under the bus but let's make sure these kids know we are all on the same page! The policy also applies to Smart watches. Let's give these kids some uninterrupted time during the day that they can really just focus on learning.

Boys basketball started off on the right foot this year. 7th and 8th grade both beat Kimberley at home this week. It's fun to watch these guys give it their all on the court!

As we begin the new semester, we want to share an update to our cell phone policy aimed at reducing distractions and maintaining a focus on learning. Effective immediately:

• Cell phones will not be allowed during passing periods.
• Cell phones may only be used during lunch.
• When asking to leave the classroom (e.g., for restroom use), students will be asked to verify their phone is left in the classroom.

These updates align with our commitment to promoting student engagement, safety, and responsibility. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your student at home.
