Important Reminders
Parents, WE NEED YOUR HELP. There is far too much playing and lack of attention across the grade level. Please make sure to look at and sign the daily folder. It is imperative that you speak to your child if they are on yellow or red. At this age, children need lots of reminders of appropriate and acceptable behavior to be ready to learn. Please make sure your child goes to bed at a reasonable time. Many students complain of being tired beginning at noon. We can't do it without you, and we sincerely appreciate your support.
1. Keep the daily folder in the backpack and please check it every day and sign the behavior chart on the back.
Green or Pink = Followed the rules and had a great day
Yellow = Needed extra reminders about following the rules
Red = Had a difficult time following the rules
2. Please send a healthy and full lunch in your child's lunch box if they don't eat the cafeteria food.
3. Keep practicing tying their shoes.
4. Keep extra clothes in a ziploc bag in your student's backpack to use in case of need.
5. Teachers will respond to parent emails within a 24-hour timeframe.
6. Please make sure that we are working with your child on holding a pencil, writing / spelling their name as well as recognizing their name.
7. Please do not need to send a water bottle to school. We have multiple water breaks during the day.
8. Have your student practice memorizing their 5-digit student ID number.
9. Please read our weekly newsletter and reach out if there is any questions.

Field Trip Information
We had such great time at the Atlanta History Museum. The students were so engaged and had fun learning about how farm life was long ago. We will be going to the farm in a few weeks. Information has been sent in yellow folders!
Parent Chaperones
As we mentioned during open house, we will be attending Lego Land and the Zoo in the spring. These are the two field trips that we will be able to bring parent chaperones, due to space and ticket availability. If there are any questions, please reach out.
