Sunnyvale Intermediate School fifth graders and teachers (downstairs yellow hall)

are ready to DEMO the Wolves!

Go, Raiders!

In honor of National Grandparents Day on Sunday, Sept. 7, Sunnyvale Intermediate School invited students’ grandparents to campus on Thursday, Sept. 4, to enjoy lunch and time with their grandchildren in their school environment.

Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, who joined their grandson for the celebration. Mrs. Roberts, 90 years old, is a longtime Sunnyvale resident and a former student of Sunnyvale schools herself.

The event highlighted the special role grandparents play in the lives of Raider students and the Sunnyvale community.

Lisa Stovall’s classes experienced hands-on learning by creating salsa with tomatoes they grew and harvested themselves. Students discovered how hard work and patience can yield great rewards at the table. This project not only taught agricultural skills, but also showed students the excitement and pride that comes from transforming their own harvest into delicious, fresh food.
