Hello, families! We are looking forward to returning to school for the 2025-2026 school year. As we prepare for the first day, we just want to share a few reminders and important notes for a successful start to the school year. First and foremost, we want to remind all students of the services available to them in the counseling office. Ms. Moffett (students A-L) and Mrs. Young (students M-Z) can support with academic, career/college, and short-term social-emotional support, and we have two highly-qualified mental health professionals who offer on-campus therapy services for longer-term mental health support. Students can access these supports scheduling appointments using QR codes in the hallways, emailing their designated counselor, or speaking with front office staff.

Secondly, if you have not done so already, please make sure you have reviewed the student schedule that was sent home to you at the beginning of this month. For any necessary changes prior to the school year, please submit a change request using the form link in the letter you received. Once the school year begins, there will be no schedule changes made after Wednesday at 3:00PM.

We encourage both parents and students to read the student handbook carefully. It provides important information about school expectations, rules, and available resources, helping everyone understand their rights, responsibilities, and how to create a safe, respectful, and successful learning environment together. Attendance Matters! Attendance Matters!

Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in a student’s academic success. When students are in class every day, they stay on track with learning, build strong study habits, and develop the discipline needed for future success. Missing even a few days can make it harder to keep up and can impact grades. We appreciate your support in ensuring students are present, on time, and ready to learn each day.

Important Reminders Important Reminders

Closed Campus - Student must stay on campus during the school day unless they a Patriot Online Class, an NMU course, or have been called out by their parents. STUDENTS ARE NOT TO LEAVE CAMPUS AT LUNCH.

Dress Code - Please be mindful of the dress code, which is clearly stated in the student handbook.

Office Communication – Please be sure to contact the office to excuse your child when they are absent. If absences are not excused within 24 hours of the day they are gone, the absence becomes unexcused and disciplinary action may be taken.

Cell Phones - Not allwoed during instructional time. Can be used before school, after school, at lunch or during passing time.
