Attendance Information
Thanks to all of our students, staff, and families for their excellent work around attendance thus far. Our daily attendance rate is approximately 94%, which is excellent. Please continue to prioritize having your student in school every day!
A few reminders about attendance:
- Parents and caregivers may excuse students from school for illness with a phone call only until the student has reached 10 days of total absence (regardless of reason). Once you have reached 10 days of absence, absences will be recorded as unexcused UNLESS excused by the school nurse, the principal, or a physician.
- The school day starts promptly at 8:00, and students arriving after that time are considered tardy. If a student has legitimate grounds for being tardy, communicate details to the main office so that we may excuse the tardies. Students will receive consequences if they accumulate more than 3 tardies to a single class, including first block.
- The standard for being "on track" in terms of attendance is that students attend 95% of school days. Over the course of our school year, this translates to 7 days of absence or less.
Community Forums
With several different conversations happening about the future of our district, the district will be hosting community forums to get input on various changes being considered. Please consider attending and advising the board and administration on where we need to go as a district!
