This year's attendance so far - 96.2%
Reception & KS1 class of the week was 2R with 99.3% attendance!
KS2 class of the week is 6CG with 98.8% attendance!
Your child's attendance is now shown on the new version of Marvellous Me for Year 1 to Year 6 children. Please note that a session is a half day so, if it says your child has been absent for 4 sessions, this is 2 full days.
Autumn 2 after school clubs
Information about next half term's after school extra curricular clubs will be sent home soon. Please look out for the ping.
Fire work safety talk
This week Year 5 & 6 had a visit from the fire brigade who spoke to them about safety at bonfire night celebrations. Children learnt about the dangers of fireworks, the importance of attending organised displays and what to do in an emergency. We would like to thank the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for taking the time to visit our school and help our pupils understand how they can enjoy Bonfire Night safely and responsibly. As families begin to make plans for the upcoming celebrations, we encourage everyone to follow the Firework Code.
Parent guide to school complaints
At Low Ash, we value the strong relationships we have with our families and are committed to working together in the best interests of every child. Occasionally, parents or carers may have a concern or complaint and need support in understanding the school's procedures. To help with this, we are sharing a useful guide from Parentkind which outlines the steps parents can take when raising concerns, and offers practical advice on resolving issues constructively. We hope families find this resource informative and reassuring, and we would always encourage parents to contact school in the first instance so that concerns can be addressed promptly and positively.
The link to the guide is below.
Academisation Consultation
A reminder that, from Wednesday 11th November, we will begin a formal consultation with parents regarding the proposed academisation of Low Ash Primary School. As part of this process, we will be holding two information sessions for parents and carers on 11th November, at 9.15am and 2.00pm, led by Duncan Jacques, CEO of Exceed Academies Trust, and Ruth Jarvis, COO of Exceed Academies Trust. These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions and share your views.
If you would like to know more about the Trust, you can visit their website here Exceed Academies Trust - Home
Consultation Evening
A reminder that our Parents' Consultation Evenings will take place next week. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress, celebrate their successes and talk about how we can continue to work together to support their learning and development. We look forward to welcoming families into school. To help the evenings run smoothly, our Year 6 Prefects will be on hand to greet parents and guide them to the correct classrooms. We look forward to seeing you there.
Reception Parents/Carers Breakfast
We are delighted to invite Reception parents and carers to a Family Breakfast on Wednesday 21st October from 8:50am to 9:30am. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, meet other families and enjoy a positive start to the school day. Please look out for the School Ping.

A massive well done to all of our cross country runners who took part in the Blakehill cross country run yesterday - they all did amazingly well with everyone finishing their race.
