Demopolis Middle School Roar Report
August
From Mrs. Jones
Welcome Back, DMS Families!
Welcome to another exciting school year at Demopolis Middle School! Whether your family is returning or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our DMS family.
Each month, you will receive The Roar Report, our monthly newsletter, through our Facebook page, school website, and text message. We encourage you to take a few minutes to read it each month so you can stay informed about important dates, school events, and reminders.
π Athletics
Our student-athletes are ready for another great season!
Middle School Volleyball: August 24 at Greensboro
Middle School Football: September 1 at home
We hope to see you there as we cheer on our Tigers!
π± Cell Phone Policy
Please take a few minutes to review the updated cell phone policy with your child. Cell phones and Apple Watches must be secured in each student's Yondr pouch immediately upon arrival to campus and remain secured throughout the school day. Your support is essential in helping us create an environment where students can focus on learning.
π Dress Code Reminders
Please review the Demopolis City Schools Code of Conduct with your child to ensure they arrive at school dressed appropriately each day. Links to the code of conduct and dress code are located at the bottom of the newsletter under Resources.
π Afternoon Pick-Up
Students must be picked up no later than 3:30 p.m. each afternoon. We appreciate your help in ensuring students are picked up on time.
π Tiger Learning Community (After-School Tutoring)
Our Tiger Learning Community will begin the week of August 24. A Google Form is included in this newsletter for families who wish to register their child. Paper registration forms will also be available in the front office. https://forms.gle/hCmUf2EnZ1E6WSjUA
βοΈ Required Parent Signature Forms
We have made completing required forms much easier this year! If you have not already completed the required Parent Signature Form, a link is included in this newsletter. Paper copies are also available in the front office for families who prefer to complete them in person. https://forms.gle/C2H2vKERkhs2PRy86
π³ Student Fees
If you have not yet paid your child's school fees, please do so as soon as possible through MySchoolBucks. Prompt payment helps us provide the resources and materials our students need throughout the school year. https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain?requestAction=home
π» Online Registration
We still have many students with incomplete online registration. A deadline for completion will be announced soon. Please upload all required documents as quickly as possible to avoid delays. Completing registration is essential for maintaining accurate student records and ensuring a smooth school year. https://enrollment.powerschool.com/family/message?code=actionprivate
Thank you for partnering with us to make this a successful year for every student. We are looking forward to an outstanding year filled with learning, growth, and opportunities for our Tigers. As always, thank you for your continued support of Demopolis Middle School!
I am so proud to be the principal of Demopolis Middle School. Together, let's make it a great year to be a Tiger!
