PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello, Tinc Families and Students! 🍁
We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and found a little time for some fall family fun—even if you had to dodge a few raindrops along the way! 🌧️🍂
There’s been no shortage of excitement at Tinc Road School lately, and we have plenty to celebrate and look forward to!
💛 Spreading Respect and Kindness
Over the past few weeks, we celebrated our Week of Respect with meaningful lessons led by our wonderful school counselors. Our students had opportunities to reflect on what it means to be respectful, show kindness, and make our school an even more welcoming place for everyone. It’s always wonderful to see our Marauders putting our 3 R’s into action: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready to Learn!
🚌 Safety First, Marauders!
Next week, we’re shifting gears and climbing aboard for a special focus on bus safety! Our fantastic transportation team will visit each grade level to lead hands-on safety sessions right on the school bus. These experiences give our students a chance to practice important safety routines and learn how to make every ride a safe one. A big thank-you to our transportation team for helping keep our Marauders safe, both on and off the road!
🎃 Mark Your Calendars!
The fall fun is far from over! We have some exciting events coming up, so be sure to add these dates to your family calendar.
Thursday, October 22 – Tinc-ylvania Trunk or Treat! 👻
Get ready for a spooktacular evening of creativity, costumes, and Halloween fun! We can’t wait to see our Tinc Road community come together for this favorite fall tradition.
Friday, October 30 – Halloween Parade and Class Parties! 🦇
Halloween is always a special day at Tinc Road, and we’re looking forward to seeing our students show off their creativity and school spirit!
Here are a few important reminders for our Halloween celebration:
Costumes: Students may wear their costumes to school as long as they can safely ride the bus and comfortably participate in all classroom learning activities. Students are also welcome to bring their costumes and change at school before the parade.
Costume guidelines: Please remember that costume weapons are not permitted.
Parade time: Our Kindergarten through Grade 5 students will parade in front of the school at 9:45 a.m. Families are welcome to watch from the school parking lot.
Rain plan: If we need to move the parade indoors, families will receive a notification through REALTIME the day before.
We appreciate your help in making this a fun, safe, and memorable celebration for everyone!
📚 Parent-Teacher Conferences: Sign-Ups Are Open!
Building strong partnerships between home and school is an important part of helping every Marauder succeed. Parent-teacher conference sign-ups are now available through your Parent Portal. If you have any trouble accessing the sign-up system, please don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance.
As always, thank you for being such an important part of the Tinc Road family. Whether we’re celebrating kindness, practicing safety, or coming together for school traditions, our community is what makes Tinc Road such a special place to learn and grow.
Here’s to a wonderful few weeks ahead filled with learning, laughter, and a little Halloween magic! ❤️💛🖤
Stronger Together!
Regards,
Mr. Grilo

When do I keep my child home sick from school?
Dear Families,
Regular school attendance is essential for your child's academic progress and social development. Prioritizing consistent attendance helps students stay on track with learning and build strong relationships with peers and teachers.
However, we also prioritize the health of our school community. If your child is feeling unwell or has a fever, please keep them home. Following these health guidelines from the NJ Department of Health and the CDC, students should remain at home for at least 24 hours after their fever has ended without medication. This helps prevent the spread of illness and ensures your child can return to school ready to learn.
Thank you for your support in fostering both your child's education and well-being.
