• We are in the final stretch of school. 4th Quarter Progress Reports should be coming home this Friday.
• Ask your student about Delores Miller Young Authors Day this Friday! We are excited to share our stories with community leaders!
• Field Trips are scheduled for every grade level. Please make sure you pay attention to notifications from the teacher about what your student needs to be prepared for the field trip. Also, please make sure your student is at school on time so that they do not miss their field trip.

Help us help your student do their very best. Check out these test-taking tips.

• Get a good night's rest.
• Eat a good breakfast.
• Tell your student you believe in them.
• Let them know that trying their hardest is all we are asking.
• Ask them about the test when they get home.

All meal balances must be paid by the end of school. If you have money left on your account it will roll to the next school year. You can log onto your parent portal or e-mail rhans@mc-wildcats.org to inquire about your students current balance.

We encourage you to send in money to pay off your debt and put money on for the remainder of the year. If you need support, please reach out to Nurse Amanda, Mrs. Hall or Ms. Krattli.

Don't forget to register your student for Summer School. Information came home in Friday Folders. If you need more info, please contact the school office.

Check out our JBE Summer Library options! You can sign up for a "Book Box" by Friday, May 5th! The forms were in your student's Friday Folder. If you need another copy, please reach out to your student's teacher or Mrs. Angel Davis at addavis@mc-wildcats.org.

Join us in celebrating Mrs. Chris and Mrs. Rachel on Administrative Professionals Day this Wednesday, April 26th! We are so thankful for everything they do for our students, staff and community!

JBE will be celebrating our teachers and staff the week of May 2nd - May 5th. We've been blessed by a lot of community support throughout this year and we are very thankful to the people and organizations that have reached out and offered to help honor our staff.

If you are interested in doing something for the staff, please let Ms. Krattli know. As always, a kind note or e-mail of appreciation is always a hit! Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff!

We will be celebrating Nurse Amanda on Wednesday, May 10th on National School Nurse's Day! Join us in letting her know how much we appreciate her knowledge and caring heart!

Help us recognize the great things happening at MCR2 by filling out the Wildcat Award Nomination Form when you notice a staff member doing great things!

The district will be recognizing our outstanding staff members again this year with monthly Wildcat Awards, and at the end of the year reception. Please nominate as many of our staff as you wish for a Wildcat Award.

Like last year, Wildcat Awards will be given each month and all nominees will receive their notes at our end of the year celebration!

We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.

Jonesburg Elementary Meal Reminder

1. Meals are not free for everyone this year.

2. We encourage you to fill out a Free & Reduced Meal application to see if you qualify.

3. If you do not qualify and your student eats meals at school the fees are as follows:

1. Full price breakfast - $2.85

2. Full price lunch - $3.25

3. Reduced price breakfast - $0.30

4. Reduced price lunch - $0.40

4. Extra milk and milk break costs $0.45 per student no matter the free and reduced status.

5. Students are not allowed to charge more than $10. If your student owes more than $10 then they will be offered an alternative meal in lieu of the daily lunch choice.

6. Please send in meal money in a labeled envelope. If you are interested, there is an option to pay online through the online SIS portal.

7. Past due balances will be sent home most Friday’s.

8. District phone call reminders for balances under $5 will begin soon. You are welcome to send in money at any time.

9. As always, if you have any questions, please call the Jonesburg Elementary Office. 833-662-6228 ext 4101.

10. We will have a drawing on Friday, September 9th for all students whose families turned in a Free & Reduced Lunch application at any of the MCR2 buildings this school year.

It is important that you have a consistent routine for your child to follow at the end of each day. If you need to make a change to your child’s normal routine you must send a note with your child in the morning.

In an emergency, you may call, but you MUST speak to a secretary before 2pm. Do not leave a message on the school answering service. The answering service is to report absences only, and it is not checked throughout the day. ONLY call in the event of an emergency. A note should be sent if you know in advance of a schedule change.

We will not make any changes after 2pm. Our goal is to get every student safely to their correct destination at the end of each day. We need your help to make sure this happens.

Mark your calendar for the first Wednesday of the month. Frumpy Joe's has generously offered to donate 10% of their sales to Jonesburg Elementary! We are very thankful for the continued support we get from our awesome community! Thank you to Frumpy Joe's for thinking of our students!

The 2022-2023 MCR-II School Calendar has been approved. Please note that the last day of school for the 2022-2023 will be a 12:30 P.M. early out.

Don't forget that your student can log onto their Moby Max account from home as well as school. If you need your student's login information, please contact your student's teacher.

This online remediation and practice program is one way that we can continue closing the gap on lost information from last spring.

The Box Tops program has made it easier to collect Box Tops and support your school. Download the Box Tops App, select Jonesburg Elementary (our zip code is 63351), then scan your receipt after you go shopping. No more clipping and saving. You can track our progress on the app. We appreciate your support!
