April News
Pepin Elementary
A note from Mrs. Riesgraf
Spring has sprung, and it’s time for our April newsletter! This month is filled with exciting learning opportunities and activities for our students at Pepin Elementary.
The Wisconsin Forward Exam will wrap up for most of our students in grades 3–6 by mid-April. This assessment helps teachers and administrators understand the skills our students have developed and identify areas where we can continue to support their growth. We appreciate your encouragement at home as students work hard and do their best.
Our schoolwide character theme for April is Courage.
One way to think about courage is choosing what is helpful, right, and kind—even when it is hard or a little scary.
Courage is something we all practice in different ways. As a family, consider taking a few moments this week to share stories about times when you showed courage or witnessed someone else demonstrating it. Stories are a powerful way to connect and learn from one another. After sharing, talk about one way each family member can practice courage during the week ahead.
We also have some exciting events planned this month! On April 23, students will experience a Mobile Planetarium visit at school. This immersive experience will allow them to explore the night sky and learn about constellations in a unique and engaging way.
Thank you for your continued support of Pepin Elementary. It’s shaping up to be a wonderful April!
