From Doan's Desk...
April may now be the longest month of the school year, because it will be relatively uninterrupted with no holidays or planned vacation days. However, we do want to remind families about two critical periods that will alter the regular academic schedule before the end of the school year.
- State Testing is scheduled for April 14th & 15th, during which we will follow a modified schedule to accommodate the standardized tests.
- Final Exams will take place spread out over the dates of May 18-21st.
Have a Great Weekend-Sko Yotes!

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
No Parking at the K8 for Student Drop-Off/Pick-Up
We have received several concerns about parents using the Monarch K–8 parking lot to drop off and pick up high school students. We would like to remind everyone that this lot is reserved for K–8 use only.
All high school student drop-offs and pick-ups should take place in the designated car line at the high school. Using the correct location helps ensure safety and keeps traffic running smoothly for all staff, students and families.
Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a safe campus environment.
High School Voter Registration Week
April 6-10th is High School Voter Registration Week in Boulder County! Monarch is partnering with Boulder County Elections to teach students the importance of registering to vote and help students in doing so.
Are you (or your student) registered to vote? Students 18 years or older can register to vote. Students that are 15, 16, or 17 can also pre-register to vote. Register to vote, or update your registration, in less than 5 minutes at GoVoteColorado.gov.
Boulder County Elections will be at Monarch during both lunches on Friday, April 10th. They will be in front of the cafeteria to answer any questions and help students register to vote.
Help us reach 85% voter registration among eligible students in the senior class to qualify Monarch for a prestigious award from the Secretary of State! Register to vote or remind your student TODAY!

It has been a long-standing tradition at Monarch HS for senior families to create a photo poster to celebrate their graduating senior. Typically, these posters have been on display at Monarch HS for the week leading up to Prom/After Prom.
Please look here for senior poster guidelines and examples. Posters must be dropped off at the Monarch front office between April 9-17 and they should be collected April 27-30. Many families re-use these posters for graduation parties.
