Soccer is back!

After surveying student interest and meeting with the student body last week, we've made the decision to re-institute our soccer team this winter. It's going to be difficult with only 14 students but I believe our 14 Spirits are committed to the season. And we'll still be able to field a basketball team with 11 Spirits committed to hoops, too. So far, we have three games on the schedule and we're looking for a coach. We're going to play an independent schedule on the road this year.

As our enrollment grows, we'll continue to see these programs come back. We want to make sure to be deliberate, however, so we're not overextended. Our hope is that as we re-institute sports like soccer, for example, that will attract another student or two who is particularly interested in soccer. And then with a few more students, we might be able to add back another sports. Etc. etc.

Positive momentum begets positive momentum. Growth creates more growth!

And speaking of positive momentum, please buy some tickets and come out for our Hispanic Heritage Event. There will be great food, dancing, music, and fun. It's a family-friendly event on Saturday. October 4th. Buy tickets here. Invite your friends and family. It's a great way to introduce people to Notre Dame!

Go Spirits!
