The Royall Reporter

Royall Elementary School has been named one of the top ten elementary schools in South Carolina, according to a new ranking from the U.S. News & World Report. This annual report uses state assessment data to evaluate schools across the state and nation.

Principal Chris Rogers said that he is pleased to see the hard work that he witnesses every day being recognized.

“I am super proud of how hard our teachers and the kids have worked to achieve this honor,” Rogers said. “Each and every day, the teachers come to work prepared; they make learning challenging in the classroom, and they make it fun. Our kids go to work and do what’s asked of them each and every day, and that’s how we achieve the success we’ve gotten.”

Assistant Principal Brittany Bennett said the school’s success is the result of the entire Royall community working together.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our committed staff, outstanding students, supportive families, and strong community partners who work together to make Royall such a special place,” Bennett said. “This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire school community, and we are honored to be recognized among the top 10 elementary schools. This accomplishment belongs to all of us, and together, we will continue to SHINE BRIGHT!”

☀️ NO SCHOOL – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD

Royall Elementary will be closed on Tuesday, November 3rd, in observance of Election Day.

We hope everyone enjoys the day off! We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Wednesday, November 4th. 💙💛

Our 5th graders had an exciting and educational field trip to Patriot’s Point in Charleston, SC! Students explored World War II history aboard the USS Yorktown battleship, learned about marine habitats, and discovered how the Doolittle Raid was planned. They also participated in a hands-on STEM balloon race activity to explore the concepts of pressure and speed. It was a wonderful day of learning, exploration, and making connections beyond the classroom!

🎃👻 Our students enjoyed a day filled with creativity, hands-on activities, and opportunities to celebrate together while building classroom community. We wrapped up the day with our annual Halloween Parade, where students proudly showed off their creative costumes!

It was a wonderful day of learning, laughter, and making memories at Royall! 🧡🖤

❤️🔴 Royall students wore RED on Monday to kick off Red Ribbon Week! We are proud of our students for participating and helping spread the message of making healthy, safe, and positive choices. ❤️

🐔🏈 Show Your Team Spirit by Helping Others! 🧡💜❤️

Royall is joining in on some friendly Carolina vs. Clemson competition while making a difference in the lives of others!

From November 2–17, we are collecting non-perishable food items to support the Salvation Army Food Bank. Donations may include canned goods, juice boxes, baby food, boxed items, peanut butter, and jelly.

Students can bring their donations to school and place them in either the CAROLINA or CLEMSON donation box!

Let's see which team can show the most generosity! Remember, it's not just about making a donation; it's about making a difference!

🍩💙 Calling all Royall Dads! Join us for Donuts for Dads on November 19th or 20th for donuts, coffee, a special performance by the Royall Young Singers, and sweet memories with your child! We can’t wait to see you there! ☀️

*WE NEED YOUR HELP: The Royall Angels program is collecting gently used or new Royall t-shirts, as well as Clemson or Carolina shirts for school spirit days. If your family has any shirts your children have outgrown or you would like to donate new ones, we would appreciate your support.

A HUGE thank you to Stephanie Sturkie and Kinghorn Insurance of the Pee Dee for sponsoring our October Teacher Treats! Our Royall staff enjoyed Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and we are so grateful for their generosity and support of our teachers and staff.
