Elementary Start/End Times
Over the past several months, the district has worked with its transportation partner, GoRiteway, to explore options for improving bus route efficiency and on-time bus performance. Some potential solutions would have required adjustments to elementary school start and/or end times.
As part of that process, we gathered input from families and staff, knowing that any change to the school day would affect many students, staff, and families. After reviewing that feedback and exploring additional options with GoRiteway, we want families to know that elementary school start and end times will not change for the 2026-2027 school year.
With next year's schedules now set, we will begin exploring transportation and school schedule options for 2027-2028, when the district's school reconfiguration will be fully implemented. It is possible that adjustments to elementary start and/or end times may be needed at that time.
The feedback we received from families and staff will be valuable as we continue evaluating options and planning for the future. This timeline will also provide ample notice for families and staff should any changes be considered. We will continue to share updates as this work progresses.
