News from Lake Ridge November Edition

Hello, Lake Ridge family!

I hope you have enjoyed the crisp mornings and darker evenings as we start to turn towards the winter months. However, this week's weather has felt more like summer! I know that we have had an improvement in our building level attendance, and for that, I am thankful! As the seasons change it can be tempting to stay tucked in at the house, but please remember to have your student at school all day, every day! Thank you as well for the support last week during the district attendance awareness week. We missed winning the district attendance trophy last week by .1%! So close!! Congratulations to Ms. Dye's kindergarten class and Mrs. Eads' fifth grade class for their perfect attendance ALL week last week!

As we are starting the winter months, we LOVE building a close community and enjoying time outside the classroom with our students. Please see the "SAVE THE DATES" section below and mark those dates on your personal calendar.

22nd- Chuck E Cheese Night for Lake Ridge Families

27th-29th- Thanksgiving Break

December

3rd- PTA Board of Managers Meeting @ 1:00 in the conference room

10th - PTA 1st Grade Music Performance @ 6:00

12th - Writing Checkpoint (3-5)

13th - Science Checkpoint (3-5)

17th- ELA Checkpoint (2-5)

18th- Math Checkpoint (2-5)

20th - End of second 9 wees/half day (dismissal at 11:30)

PTA Updates

Our board of Managers meeting will be held at 1:00 in the conference room on November 12th. Our 3rd grade music performance is November 19th @ 6:00. We are excited for our first Chuck E Cheese Lake Ridge night on Friday, November 22nd. We will receive 20% of total sales for the night, including games!
