State Testing Continues This Week
State testing is underway at Dewey! Our 3rd–6th grade students will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), and our English Learners will take the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). These assessments provide valuable information about student learning and help guide instruction and support .
This week, our 3rd, 4th and 6th students will begin the English Language Arts portion of the CAASPP test. English Learners are continuing with the ELPAC.
We encourage all students to come to school on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best and show what they know. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

PFO Board Member Nominations Now Being Accecpted
Dear Parents and Faculty,
The Parent-Faculty Organization (PFO) plays a vital role in supporting our school's students, teachers, and community. From organizing events to fundraising for essential programs, the PFO's work directly impacts the quality of our children's education. We are writing to you today to ask for your participation in a crucial process: nominating candidates for the PFO Board.
The nomination process is simple:
1. Think about parents and faculty members who you believe would be strong candidates.
2. Submit your nominations via this link https://form.jotform.com/260756387010052
The deadline for nominations is April 17th . All the nominees will be contacted before the official election begins to accept or decline their nominations. Voting will happen in the weeks to follow, date TBD. We urge you to take a few minutes to consider who you would like to see lead the PFO in the coming year.
Your participation is essential to ensuring a strong and vibrant PFO for our school. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
The PFO Nominating Committee
Dewey's Annual Book Drive
Our annual book drive began today and will continue through Friday. Thank you to those who have already donated books. Please bring in any new or gently used children’s books. Donation boxes are in the office hallway. Donations will be given to the River Oak Center for Children.
Thank you!
Lunch with a Loved One is a special opportunity for students to invite Loved Ones to join them at school for lunch. It's a fun way to connect, share part of the school day, and make lasting memories.
*weather permitting

Easy Earnings Add Up!
No extra spending, no extra steps, just results. Seven Dewey families have already earned a combined $150 since the start of the school year simply through Local Dining and online shopping.
The best part is they did not purchase any extra gift cards. They simply shopped and dined at places they were already going and earned automatically. By linking a card for Local Dining or using the RaiseRight browser extension while shopping online, those everyday purchases turned into real earnings.
It is one of the easiest ways to participate in RaiseRight with no extra steps and no additional cost.
