Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Pablo Tac Families,

We are off to a wonderful start to the school year! It has been a joy to see our students settling into their classrooms, building relationships, learning routines, and engaging in learning each day. Thank you for your partnership as we begin another exciting year at Pablo Tac School of the Arts.

A special thank you to all of the families who joined us for Back to School Night. We appreciate you taking the time to meet your child’s teacher, learn about the classroom and instructional program, and hear about the many opportunities available to our students this year. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in your child’s school experience.

If you are looking for ways to become more involved, we encourage you to join our PTA! Our PTA provides many opportunities to volunteer, support school events, and help create memorable experiences for our students. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there are many ways to participate and be part of our school community.

As we settle into the year, we also want to emphasize the importance of positive attendance. Please help your child arrive at school on time every day and stay for the entire school day whenever they are healthy. Learning happens from the first bell until dismissal, and arriving late or leaving early means students miss valuable instruction, classroom routines, and opportunities to connect with their teachers and classmates. Every day—and every minute—matters!

Finally, we want to share our procedure for items dropped off at the front office during the school day. To protect instructional time and minimize classroom interruptions, the office will not call classrooms when forgotten items are dropped off. If your child regularly forgets school items, please encourage them to check the front office during recess or lunch to see if the item has been dropped off.

Office staff will also email the teacher to let them know that an item is waiting. However, teachers are focused on students and instruction throughout the school day and are not able to check email while teaching and may not always have an opportunity to check it during breaks. For this reason, students should take responsibility for checking the office at recess or lunch if they are expecting a forgotten item. We will interrupt instruction for essential items, such as eyeglasses or hearing aids, that directly impact a student’s ability to access learning. Thank you for helping us protect valuable instructional time while also encouraging student responsibility and independence.

Thank you for being such important partners in your child’s education. We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, creativity, growth, and connection. Together, we can make this a fantastic year for every Pablo Tac Hawk!

Warmly,

Dr. Carla Aranda
Principal

Morning Drop-Off

To ensure a smooth and safe drop-off process, please remember:

  • Have your child ready to exit the car before reaching the drop-off area. Say your goodbyes early to help the line move quickly.

  • Please remain in your car. If your child needs extra assistance, kindly park in a designated spot before helping them.

  • Exiting your car in the drop-off lane slows down traffic and impacts everyone’s morning.

Afternoon Pick-Up

  • Dismissal is at 2:55 PM. Families may not line up for pick-up before 2:30 PM.

  • This is especially important after Labor Day, when Kinder dismissal begins at 2:10 PM. Arriving too early causes the loop to back up before dismissal time.

  • All parents must remain in their cars during pick-up to keep the line moving safely and efficiently.

We appreciate your support in keeping our drop-off and pick-up process safe for everyone!
