Greetings SMS Families,

As we prepare to kick off another exciting school year, everyone at SMS is looking forward to welcoming our students back to the building. I trust this message finds you and your family rejuvenated after a restful summer, eagerly anticipating the opportunities that await at Springville Middle School. With our Summer Skills program wrapping up, our efforts to prepare the campus for student arrival are nearly finished.

This summer, Springville Middle School underwent noticeable improvements through capital projects. The District has also been enhancing school spirit with vibrant Purple and Gold branding in public areas. Notably, our gymnasium floor has been meticulously refinished to match the high school’s, complete with sanding, re-lining, staining, painting, and sealing, ensuring it's ready for action on the first day of classes.

Aligned with the District’s strategic plan, our dedicated faculty and staff at Springville Middle School are committed to delivering the highest quality education to our students daily. As I embark on my second year here, I reflect on the wonderful experiences of my first year. While it was a fantastic year, we are continually evolving. This academic year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to implementing meaningful changes that enhance every student's educational journey and experiences. The faculty and I have exciting plans for 2024/2025, and we eagerly anticipate sharing this upcoming school year with you.

Learning continued at SMS over the summer! The Summer Skills Camp continued to teach students skills in core areas, and also take part in specials like art, music and physical education, just like during the regular school year. At the end of the camp, students tie dyed shirts and wore them to an end of year party!

We continue to encourage students to be involve in school activities and athletics is a great way to do that! It promotes physical health, team work and self-esteem! If you have any questions about sports, please call the Athletics Office at 716-592-3238.
