Good afternoon,

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! It’s hard to believe we are already at Week 31. I am incredibly proud of our campus and all we have accomplished this year—especially while navigating a full building renovation.

The majority of the interior work is now complete, with a few third-floor spaces scheduled to be finished over the summer. Between now and then, crews will continue working on final details. Please take a few minutes to complete the Classroom Check-In form below to report any items that still need attention.

We also begin Reading STAAR this week, and I encourage everyone to come together in support of our 3–5 students and teachers. Your flexibility and willingness to step in over the next few weeks truly makes a difference.

Finally, I want to take a moment to recognize our incredible AP, Mrs. Yetts. We are fortunate to have such a hardworking and committed leader at Lipscomb. On a personal note, I’m not sure what I would do without her. I encourage you to find ways—big or small—to show your appreciation for her this week.

How we walk into the building each day is a choice. Choose positivity and carry light—light isn’t heavy. Spread joy, gratitude, and a love for what you do.

Thank you all for everything you do each day.

  • 🎤 Shout-out to Mrs. Owens for an incredible GT student presentation! The Shark Tank projects were highly creative, and students delivered their pitches with confidence and clarity. Spring Climate Survey

  • The Campus Climate Survey window will be open from April 7–17, 2026. All campus-based professional and support staff will receive an email invitation from Hanover Research to participate.
  • This survey is an important opportunity to reflect on our campus culture and share your perspective. Your feedback directly informs decisions, supports growth, and helps strengthen our campus for both staff and students.
  • Responses are completely confidential and reported only in aggregate. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes and must be completed in one sitting.
  • We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to thoughtfully complete the survey—your voice matters and helps shape the direction of our campus.

🚨 Classroom Safety Reminder: Call Buttons 🚨

  • Each classroom is equipped with a call button that connects directly to the front office and should be used in the event of an emergency to request immediate assistance.
  • Please ensure the call button remains visible and accessible at all times. It should not be covered by furniture, paper, or other materials.
  • Students should be clearly taught that the call button is not to be pressed and this expectation should be included in your classroom procedures. However, it must remain accessible so it can be used quickly if needed.

Thank you for helping keep our campus safe!

🎨 Campus Mural Project 🎨

  • We are planning a series of mural installations across campus to add color, creativity, and school pride to our hallways and outdoor spaces. This includes reimagining the courtyard mural and adding sensory paths to our basketball court—just two of the six installations we have planned.
  • We are looking for staff members who are interested in helping plan, design, or support the execution of these murals in collaboration with artist SwaggieScript.

If you have ideas, artistic interest, or simply want to be part of bringing this vision to life, please let me know—we’d love your involvement!

🌿 Courtyard Renovation 🌿

  • We recently received a grant to enhance our courtyard and transform it into a vibrant, functional space for students and staff. We are looking for teachers and staff who are interested in helping plan and design how this space will be used.

If you’d like to contribute ideas or be part of the planning process, please let me know. Your input will help shape a space our entire campus can enjoy!

🛠️ Classroom Check-In: Bond Renovation Updates

As we wrap up recent renovations, we want to make sure every classroom is fully ready and functional. Please take a few minutes to complete this form to share any items in your space that still need attention.

Be sure to include all items in one submission—no need to submit multiple forms. If possible, please add photos to help us address items quickly.

Thank you for your help in making sure our campus is safe, complete, and ready for learning!
