This October, we’re celebrating Boo-tiful Attendance! Our schoolwide goal is 97% attendance or higher, and each week we’ll recognize the class with the highest attendance in each grade-level group: TK/K, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th. Winning classes will earn a special prize and, of course, bragging rights for the week!
Being at school each day helps our Tigers learn, grow, and stay connected to their classroom community. At the same time, we absolutely do not want students coming to school when they are sick. Our message is simple: If you’re healthy and able to be at school, we want you here! Every school day matters, and every Tiger helps their class get closer to our 97% goal.
A Note From the Nurse
🩺 Health Office FYI: Medical Equipment & Activity Restrictions
If your child comes to school with a cast, crutches, wheelchair, scooter, walker, walking boot/shoe, or other medical equipment/assistive device, please provide the Health Office with a doctor’s order or medical documentation so we can ensure appropriate accommodations and a safe school day. This documentation is required in the Health Office for your child to attend school with the device.
Students with braces, elastic bandages, slings, or splints may also need medical documentation if physical activity restrictions or accommodations are needed for more than three days.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and supported at school! 💛

4-6th Grade Parents - Curious about our GATE Program?
If you are interested in having your 4th–6th grade student tested for the GATE Program, please complete the attached Parent Referral Form. Forms are due to the office ONLY by the end of the school day on Friday, October 9th.
Please do not return GATE permission slips to Mrs. Cox’s classroom, as collecting forms during instructional time can interrupt learning.
After referral forms are received, permission slips will be sent home with students. A signed permission slip is required for your child to participate in GATE testing. Permission slips are due by Friday, October 23rd.
Please note:
- Some students may qualify for GATE based on their state test scores. This determination will be made at a later date once all data becomes available.
- This letter may be received after the referral deadline. If you are interested in GATE for your child, it is important to submit the Parent Referral Form regardless. If your child qualifies automatically, you will be notified, and they will not need to take the test.
- If your child participated in the GATE program last year, they are already qualified and do not need to re-test or qualify again.
Important GATE Dates:
- Parent Referral Form Due: Friday, October 9th
- Testing Permission Slip Due: Friday, September 23rd
- Tentative Testing Date: TBD
