LMS Friends,

The School is bustling with all kinds of activity. Our Field Hockey and Football teams are competing and many of our co-curriculars have started, sign-ups continue, or will be underway soon.

Our teachers are active consistently planning and supporting our students. The beginning of the year is flying by. It is hard to believe that next week will be the last week of September already and the start of October.

At this time, we have decided we will adjust the Middle Scoop back to a bi-weekly newsletter.

Our Scoop was a bi-weekly when it started in 2017, and we feel at this point a larger newsletter every other week will be more useful than every week. You can expect the next Scoop to come out on October 8th in time for the long weekend.

Enjoy the Scoop!

Regards,

John P. D'Entremont, Principal

Optional Pool Testing

If your child is signed up for voluntary pool testing, then we will be starting next week on Wednesday. In preparation for testing, please do two things:

1. Let your student know that you have signed them up.

2. Please view the following video (review the document) about swabbing the nose.

If you are interested in having your child sign-up for voluntary pool testing, please see the latest Superintendent Newsletter.

Open Houses

A recent community message went out to the District indicating LMS Open Houses. There are no scheduled open houses at this time for LMS and these dates were holdovers from previous years. We apologize for any confusion.

Got Textbooks or things from last year?

As we started this year, LMS noticed that a number of books, calculators and other school items did not get returned to LMS. Please look around. If you have a Life Science or Earth Science textbook for example, we would like them back. If you find a graphing calculator that was borrowed, we would like it back. Thanks for checking around and looking for books and items that should have been returned to LMS last June.

Interested in joining the band?

Attention all 5th and 6th-grade families, it is not too late to join band! Please see the attachment here for steps on how to get your instrument!

Latest Update by Nancy Pageau

Hello LMS family!

Just a reminder that all students, staff and visitors need to wear a mask inside the building. Please send your child to school with a mask and a spare if you have one. Students often need to change their mask during the school day. I do have some extra masks if needed.

Cloth masks should be routinely washed. The surgical type masks are disposable and for single day use. Gaiters and masks with valves are not acceptable, per our policy, without a written medical reason. Thank you for assisting with this covid mitigation measure.

At Home Covid Tests

The NH DHHS and the Lebanon School District will accept At Home COVID Tests only for students who are exhibiting covid symptom(s). They will not be accepted for asymptomatic students:

Your student must have one of the following symptoms to use an At Home Test:

  • Fever over 100.0 F

  • Chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath; difficulty breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Nasal congestion; runny nose

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Nausea/vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  1. The At Home COVID Test must be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

  2. Please read and follow the directions included with the At Home Covid Test, and wait the full recommended time for the results.

  3. Please take a picture of the test result and email to the School Nurse.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Nurse.

The Student Flu Clinic will be held on Thursday, October 21st. Permission forms and information can be found below. Forms are also available in the nurse's office. All forms need to be returned to the nurse by October 15th.

Voluntary Testing - Starting Soon!

If you are interested in voluntary COVID testing, please see the latest Superintendent's newsletter. The access code for LMS is 81ZM9C. Our plan is to start this very soon. Since we have not done this process before, we will surely need to improve upon it after we gain experience with it.
