The MSE Talent Show will be May 21, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Applications will be available March 11th - 14th during lunch and from Mrs. Harding.
Auditions - April 24. (4-6 p.m. or by special arrangements)
Rehearsal - May 14 (4-6 p.m.)
Dress Rehearsal - May 20 (7-9 p.m.)
6th Grade
ACE 7/8 classes are moving into three-dimensional Geometry next week. We will be investigating surface area, volume, the relationships between the various formulas and how changing one dimension impacts the final answer.
Congratulations to the 6th Grade Orchestra on their phenomenal performance. Their next performance will be on Thursday, May 22, at 7:30 pm.
All 6th grade math & ACE students need to be sure to have their TI-30XII calculators in class daily and for the Ohio State Test coming up next month. Thank you!

7th Grade
7th grade math: Just a reminder if your student has a TI-30 calculator at home, please send it in so we can get ready for state testing in April! We appreciate your support with this.

Art: 7th grade artists have been working on mini museums representing some famous artwork and a sculpture of their own choosing. Ask them about their super cool artwork!
ELA: Students are finishing up their historical fiction reading by moving to literary writing next week. They will be drafting essays about their books in class on Monday. Please check with them this weekend to make sure they are completing their outlines!
Orchestra: Congratulations to the 7th Grade Orchestra on their wonderful performance. Their next concert will be on Thursday, May 22, at 7:30 pm.
8th Grade
Reminder- Job Shadowing Day is Thursday, April 24th. Forms have been sent out and electronic forms are being attached to ELA google classrooms.
Please get a secured job experience placement and return permission slip to your student’s ELA teacher. School sponsored experiences are being sent out this weekend through ELA classes.
Math classes are collecting calculators to get a head count of calculators (students who have one and students who will need to borrow one) for the State Test in April. Calculators will be kept in the classroom from now until then and given back after the state test. Students can still purchase their own and turn in a calculator to their teacher until Thursday, 3/27.

The GJPS Heart & Pride Award
The Heart and Pride Award recognizes two outstanding staff members each month who make a profound impact on our students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
The Heart & Pride Nomination Form will remain available year-round and is open to any member of our staff, regardless of position.
PTA meetings take place on the 2nd Monday of each month in the GMSE library at 7:00pm. All are welcome!
