Welcome Back from Community Schools
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 26-27 school year! We are excited to have students begin this academic year and make connections with school staff and one another. One goal this year is to engage with our entire school community in multiple ways throughout the academic year. Please see our Community School calendar of events below and make sure to mark these dates to join us in both social and informative activities. We will kick things off this year at our Back to School Open House on Thursday, 8/20/26, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Students will be able to tour the school and meet their teachers. We will also have community partners in our stadium area for students and families, along with some local food trucks.
Throughout the school year, we encourage parents and caregivers to stay in touch and reach out with questions or feedback. You are invited to join our Community School Advisory Committee, which will meet quarterly and discuss priorites and needs of our school. Additionally, a four-part Family Workshop series is being offered this year based on FAMILY feedback from our District Engagement Survey. See the first two topics in our Calendar of Events below. We hope to see you at our community and family events!
Please let me know if you or your student(s) have questions related to any school or community resources.
In partnership,
Dr. Kate Kramer-Jefferson
