Sunnyvale ISD E-News

Sunnyvale ISD bus driver, Caty Judd, was named 2024 -2025 Bus Driver of the Year by the @Property Casualty Alliance of Texas (PCAT). Director of Transportation Todd Staley presented Judd with the award at the Monday, April 28 SISD Board meeting.

The award recognizes drivers based on the following attributes: leadership, attitude, perseverance, student and parent relationships, and technical skill.
“Each day school bus drivers are the first people our students see in the morning and the last person they see in the afternoon,” Director Staley said.
“They are entrusted with transporting our children to and from school safely. No matter what the weather conditions or traffic looks like, their performance must be superb.”
Staley said that Judd is always willing to help and does so with a smile. She joined the SISD transportation team two years ago, and she also serves as a substitute teacher.
Congratulations, Caty!
