Mrs. Bradley's Availability
I am still teaching in Classroom 1, until the perfect candidate can be hired for the position. I know that this has caused some frustration among families because I'm not as available as I might otherwise be. The best way to reach me is by email- it may take me a day or two to return your email, but I will respond as quickly as possible.
If you need to speak with me in person, I am always at the Eagle Club door at the back of the building at about 8:15. You are more than welcome to stop by and say hi!
ProCare and Billing
Thank you for your patience!
At this time, I've met with ProCare a number of times and they have assured me that billing is functional both in the app and at procare.com. If your student is a preschool tuition student and/or attends Eagle Club, you will no longer receive an emailed statement. Simply log into your ProCare account and you'll be able to see and pay your bill online. For all billing questions, please reach out to our secretary, Becky. Her email is rnatzel@lindenschools.org.
Classroom 1 has been piloting an electronic sign in through ProCare for the last month or so and it is going well. We'll be adding this feature to the other classrooms in the next month or so.
Where Are We At With Enrollment?
GSRP rules state that at certain intervals, the income level of students who qualifies increases. At this time, any family in the community who is still looking for free four year old preschool slots is strongly encouraged to visit Argentine's enrollment page, where there is information on the process and links for the two applications that have to be completed. Students must be four before December 1. We do still have a handful of four-day, half-day slots for four year olds. There are minimal five-day, full-day slots for three year olds available as well.
Upcoming Parent Feedback and Information Session- November 20 at 3:15
Meet in the Library
The purpose of this session will be for Mrs. Bradley to give some quick building updates regarding any upcoming dates, important events, etc. that are on the horizon. At further sessions, I will also be sharing information regarding our move to Hyatt, which is anticipated to take place in August 2025.
There will also be time for any parent questions that are building-related questions. For individual classroom or student issues, please send me an email at ebradley@lindenschools.org.
It's Getting Colder Outside!
We will still go outside unless it is below freezing. Please make sure that your child comes to school each day with outerwear appropriate for the weather. Once it snows, all children will need a coat, snow pants, boots, gloves and a hat every day. If it is easier to just leave these items at school, please let us know to keep them here. If your family is in need of assistance with warm weather clothing for your child please reach out to your child's teacher.

My Child Is Sick- Now What?
Notify Your Child's Teacher
Please call your child's classroom to report an illness.
How Sick is Too Sick?
- Fever over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (with or without fever reducing medication) within the last 24 hours
- Vomiting, diarrhea, upset belly within the last 24 hours
- Rash of any kind within the last 24 hours
- Persistent cough, green snotty nose, etc.
- Illness diagnosed by a medical professional as being contagious, until medically cleared to return
- A great rule of thumb to follow is: If I have to give my child medication to feel better, or if my child isn't well enough to play outside, he or she isn't well enough to come to school.
Why Does My Child Keep Getting Sick?
It can often be very frustrating to parents when their young child seems to be sick every other week. But this is a part of establishing healthy immune systems, and is actually a good (albeit inconvenient) thing! For many children, preschool is the first time they have been exposed to so many germs. Young children inherently put things in their mouths, touch their faces, etc., which leads to the sharing of all kinds of yucky germs.
The classrooms are cleaned daily. Tables are washed before and after meals. And we'll establish frequent handwashing routines right from the get-go. You can help by reinforcing these habits at home and by keeping your little one home when they're under the weather. If your family chooses to vaccinate, flu and covid vaccines are available from most pharmacies and doctor's offices, often free of charge.
How can I help at home?
It is very helpful to engage your child in the following activities as often as possible!
- Read to and with your child. Identify familiar words around your home and around town.
- Practice identifying letters, especially those in your child's name
- Practice opening lunch items
- Practice putting on/taking off jackets, boots, mittens, etc.
