Bronco Families,

It's January! It has been great to welcome the students back after break. We are kicking off 2024 with winter sports in full swing and seeing Semester 1 come to an end in just a few short weeks. The dedication of students to finishing this first half of the school year strong has been a sight to see. Today marks National Day of Dialogue, please let us know if there is anything we can do to support your student in completing this semester strong. Read through this newsletter to stay caught up on what's happening at Parkrose.

It's a great year to be a BRONCO!

Shaver Crosswalk

Bronco Families we are asking for your help! Before and after school we do our best to get car riding students out quickly and keep traffic moving. We also always want to keep the safety of our students at the forefront, to do so we have a crossing guard at the crosswalk between the MS and HS. There have been times when the crossing guard has come close to getting hit by a car while trying to provide our students a safe place to cross the street. Please help us by watching for the crossing guard if you come to pick up your student!

Off and Away - Technology Policy

At Parkrose High School, we prioritize creating a focused and productive learning environment for our students. To ensure this, we have implemented an "Off-and-Away" policy for personal electronic devices during classroom instructional time. Cellphones, earphones, and smartwatches are to be off and away in classrooms. Exceptions may be made upon approval.

This policy aims to minimize disruptions, enhance engagement, and promote meaningful interactions among students and teachers. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a conducive atmosphere for learning.
