October Health and Wellness Focus
Join us this month as we focus on drug and alcohol awareness and bullying prevention. Students will be practicing the Stop, Walk, and Talk strategy to stop bullying and will learn about the dangers of drugs and alcohol through their Red Ribbon Week Activities. Parents can attend workshops designed to prepare you for the challenges of teen vaping and cannabis use.
Supporting Stop, Walk and Talk at Home
As we focus on bullying prevention, it is important to teach our students skills they can use when issues of bullying arise. Stop, walk and talk is a strategy we teach students in Snowline. The strategy is nationally recognized as an effective way to combat bullying and is a part of our Positive Behavior, Interventions and Support (PBIS) program.
You can support our efforts by talking to your students at home about the importance of seeking help from a trusted adult when they have issues where asking the other person to stop and walking away from them does not solve the problem.
If you have information regarding student/staff safety, please text at tip to (760) 239-9113 or email textatip@snowlineschools.com. Please note, reports are confidential, not anonymous.
