Message from Mrs. Hill

Happy September! I've really enjoyed meeting all of our new students and hearing about how the summer went for our returning kiddos! In September students will be learning all about Respect during connect. Respect is seeing the value in all people and things and treating them with care. This year I will be working with groups of students on different topics in small groups. Teachers will be making recommendations and then a permission slip will come home if your student is recommended for a group, each grade level will have a different focus. If you have a concern for your student please feel free to reach out so I can help support them here at school with individual lessons to build skills or small group skill building.

Parent Advisory Committee

Our Parent Advisory Committee will continue this year. This committee worked last year to help provide input on campus initiatives and procedures. We will meet quarterly this year from 7:45-8:30 in the library. If you'd like to be considered for this committee please complete the google form here; Parent Advisory Committee Sign Up.

Character Strong

The guidance curriculum to support our Comprehensive Counseling program is Character Strong. The month of September we will be focusing on Respect. Students will be learning skills to help improve listening, Friendship, conflict resolution, and perspective taking. See the parent newsletters below for more information. I've included an introductory letter as well as the month of September's parent newsletters. My hope is that you will use the information in the monthly newsletter to talk with your children about the character traits and skills they are learning.
